RAW is open to young people aged between 16 and 21 from Albury, Wodonga and surrounding areas – from Wagga Wagga to Falls Creek and Benalla to Tumbarumba.
Applications will close on Friday 26 September 2025, at 5pm.
The application comprises a short questionnaire, a description of your work, and visual examples of your work, such as photographs or a video link.
Applications can include an existing work (made in the last 12 months), a new concept or a work-in-progress.
Applications for RAW 2026 will be assessed by MAMA curatorial staff and two local youth representatives.
The RAW 2026 program will include three professional development workshops. The workshops will cover artwork preparation, exhibition installation and organising the opening event. All artists are expected to attend all 3 workshops:
- Workshop #1 - Saturday 8 November 2025, 11am – 1pm
- Workshop #2 – Saturday 13 December 2025, 11am – 1pm
- Workshop #3 – Saturday 24 January 202, 11am – 1pm
RAW artists should expect to:
- receive a $300 artist fee
- attend the exhibition opening to be held on Friday, 13 February 2026, 5.30pm – 7pm
- participate in a one-on-one interview with the marketing team
- participate in a professional photoshoot with their artwork (individual headshot provided).
RAW 2026 will be on display for 8 weeks, from 13 February until 29 March 2026.
Successful RAW 2026 applicants will be notified in October 2025.
