RAW is open to young people aged between 16 and 21 from Albury, Wodonga and surrounding areas – from Wagga Wagga to Falls Creek and Benalla to Tumbarumba.
This is a rolling application round, open all year, with submissions reviewed once a year in October.
Applications will close on 30 August 2024, at 5pm.
Applications involve a short questionnaire, a description of your work, and support material showing your work, such as photographs or video link.
Applications can include an existing work (made in the last 12 months), a new concept or work-in-progress.
Applications for RAW 2025 are assessed by MAMA curatorial staff and a local youth representative. RAW artists will receive $300 artist fee for their contribution.
The RAW 2025 program will also include the following professional development opportunities that each artist will participate in:
- Scheduled workshops at the museum led by curatorial staff for artwork development support.
- One-on-one interview with the communications team.
- Professional photoshoot with artwork (individual headshot provided).
- Planning and attending the exhibition opening.
Successful RAW 2025 applicants will be notified in September 2024.
